The Right Professional Portrait Choice: Michele's Story

When you reach out to us to update your professional portraits, we’ll ask you a few questions about what your needs are - because we want you to make the right choice!

We offer 20 minute headshots, Radiance sessions, and Personal Branding packages - and we know that it can often be daunting deciding which level is right for you.

Dr. Michele Pfannenstiel of Dirigo Food Safety

Dr. Michele Pfannenstiel of Dirigo Food Safety, reached out to us last year, needing new professional images.

Her headshot was outdated, and she found herself in need of images not only for her website, but for marketing and PR requests. After a conversation about what might be best, we set her up with a traditional headshot.

20 minutes. One outfit. No hair and make up. A gallery of digital proofs to choose from.

Michele ended up purchasing multiple images from that gallery, spread out over a few months, and knew that she’d come back for a longer session.

“The first headshots were so good and there was such a high level of trust after that first session, it was a no brainer to come back and get a wider variety of shots to use across our materials.

We were not disappointed to say the least!”

We work with you prior to your session to ensure that the images we capture together exceed your expectations. We often hear from our professional portraiture clients that their clients have cited our photos as one of the reasons they initially reached out.

“We’ve used them on social media and our website and I have had LOTS of positive feedback to say the least, but my favorite?

“Beautiful inside and out.”

Jen captured me perfectly,” Michele said.

When she came back for a longer session, Michele had one of our stylists do her hair and make up. She had brought a variety of outfits to choose from, and we had the time to spend capturing different poses that we didn’t have time for in the previous 20-minute session.

Michele went on to say:

“Gearing up for the session, nerves crept in because getting portraits done can seem stressful and you worry that you’ll not necessarily get great shots or ones that look amazing, but nothing like what you actually look like.

There was no need to worry because Jen is warm, professional and an amazing photographer.

She helped shake those nerves out, had great tips for posing and delivered exactly what we came for: amazing photos that showed the best—and authentic—version of me.

Plus, the studio manager was great at communicating expectations before the shoot and always followed up in a timely manner. They were awesome!”

We know that this level of resource investment is no small commitment! We want you to be thrilled with your choice. Once you decide which option is best, we’ll create a plan that fits your project’s timeline. We want to help make it an easy “Yes!” for you and your business - ask us about scheduling options, the hair and make up process, and custom payment plans.

Regarding her experience with working with Jen, Michele said,

“This was the first time that I had professional portraits done, but have hired photographers for events. One that comes to mind is one photographer who showed up, took a million photos and then when we got them back were almost totally unusable. Seriously. I felt like we threw money out the window. But not with Jen.

Worth every penny and frankly very reasonable for what we got!”
